The dry manicure, perfected.

A waterless approach to nail care in the heart of SoHo — where precision protects the health of your natural nail.

Why we go waterless.

A traditional manicure starts with a soak. We don’t. Soaking swells the nail plate, so polish and gel are applied to a nail that later shrinks back — which is exactly why color lifts and chips early. The dry manicure skips the water entirely.

Instead, we use a precision technique to refine the cuticle and prep the nail while it’s in its natural, stable state. Gel bonds closer to the base, the finish sits cleaner, and your manicure holds its shape for weeks — not days.

Longer-lasting by design

Because the nail isn't waterlogged, gel adheres to a firm surface — so your manicure wears longer and lifts less.

Gentler on your nails

Precise, intentional cuticle work removes only what's needed, leaving the natural structure of your nail protected and intact.

A cleaner finish

With no swelling and no excess moisture, color goes on neat to the cuticle line and stays crisp.

Dry manicure

  • A dry — or waterless — manicure skips the soak. The cuticle and nail are refined with a precision technique while the nail is dry and stable, so gel bonds better and lasts longer.

  • For many people, yes. Without soaking, the nail plate isn't swollen, and cuticle work stays precise and gentle — which helps protect the natural nail.

  • At The Shade in SoHo (345 W. Broadway). Every manicure we offer uses the waterless technique.
